Refund and Return Policy

At Gabaya, we take immense pride in the craftsmanship, quality, and finish of every bio-vegan leather handbag we create. Each product is carefully designed, rigorously inspected, and elegantly packaged to ensure it reaches you in absolute flawless condition. We understand that purchasing premium products online requires trust, and we aim to provide a highly fair, transparent, and seamless return and refund process to support your shopping experience.
If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we offer a dedicated return facility for eligible products within 7 days of the original delivery date, subject to the comprehensive conditions outlined below.
1. Eligibility for Returns
To qualify for a return and subsequent refund, the product must meet all of the following strict criteria:
- Pristine Condition: The item must be entirely unused, unworn, and unaltered, maintaining the exact pristine condition in which it was initially delivered.
- Complete Packaging: The product must be returned with all original packaging intact. This includes Gabaya dust bags, protective hardware covers, brand tags, authenticity cards, and any accompanying materials or complimentary accessories.
- No Signs of Wear: The item must not show any signs of use whatsoever. This includes, but is not limited to, scratches on the hardware, stains, scuff marks, odors, or creasing on the straps/body.
- Proof of Purchase: A valid proof of purchase, such as the original order confirmation email or digital receipt, must be provided upon request.
Non-Returnable Items:
Please note that certain categories are strictly final sale and are not eligible for returns or refunds, including:
- Customized, monogrammed, or personalized products.
- Bespoke or specially made-to-order items.
- Corporate, bulk, or B2B orders.
- Items explicitly marked as “Final Sale” or purchased during specific clearance events.
Note: These specific items may only be considered for return or replacement if they are received in a damaged or defective condition directly from our facility.
2. Process for Returns
To ensure a smooth, efficient, and secure return process, please follow the steps outlined below:
- Initiate a Request: Contact our client care team at gabaya.legacy@gmail.com within 7 days of delivery. Please include your full name, order number, and a brief, detailed reason for the return request.
- Approval & Instructions: Once your request is reviewed and approved by our team, we will provide you with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number along with detailed, step-by-step return shipping instructions.
- Packaging & Dispatch: Securely pack the product back into its original Gabaya packaging. Ensure that the RMA number is clearly written or attached to the outside of the shipping box.
- Shipping Responsibility: For standard returns (such as a change of preference or personal reasons), the customer is entirely responsible for arranging and covering the return shipping costs. These return shipping costs are non-refundable.
Important Shipping Recommendation: We strongly advise using a trackable shipping service or opting for shipping insurance, especially given the premium nature of our items. Gabaya cannot accept responsibility or liability for returned items that are lost, stolen, or damaged during return transit.
3. Refunds Processing
Once the returned item is safely received at our facility, it will undergo a detailed quality inspection by our assurance team to verify its condition and eligibility.
- Approval: If the return passes inspection and is approved, the refund will be processed directly to your original method of payment.
- Timeline: Refunds are initiated promptly after approval; however, please allow 5–10 business days for the credited amount to fully reflect in your account, depending on your bank or payment provider's processing times.
- Payment Methods: Refund timelines may vary slightly based on the payment mode used (e.g., credit card, debit card, UPI, or digital wallets).
- Declined Returns: If the returned product does not meet our strict eligibility criteria (e.g., shows signs of use or lacks original packaging), the return request will be declined. In such cases, the product will be shipped back to the customer at their expense, and no refund will be issued.
4. Damaged or Defective Goods
While every Gabaya product undergoes stringent quality checks before dispatch, transit issues or rare manufacturing defects can occur. If you receive an item that is damaged, defective, or incorrect, you must notify us within 48 hours of delivery.
To report a damage or defect issue:
- Email gabaya.legacy@gmail.com immediately.
- Provide your order number and contact details.
- Attach clear, well-lit photographs of the product, the specific visible issue, the shipping label, and the external packaging.
Upon successful verification of the defect or damage, Gabaya will arrange a complimentary reverse pickup. You will then be offered either a full replacement (subject to product availability) or a full refund, based entirely on your preference. Requests submitted beyond the strict 48-hour timeframe may not be eligible for resolution.
5. Late or Missing Refunds
If your return was approved and the refund has been processed by Gabaya, but you have not yet received the funds within the expected timeframe, please follow these steps:
- Check your bank account or digital wallet balance once more.
- Contact your credit card company or UPI app provider, as it may take some time before your refund is officially posted to your ledger.
- Reach out to your bank directly, as there is often standard processing time required before a refund clears.
If you have completed all of the steps above and you still have not received your refund, please contact our client care team at gabaya.legacy@gmail.com for immediate further assistance.
6. Exchanges
At this time, we offer direct exchanges only in cases where the product received is inherently defective, damaged in transit, or incorrect based on your order receipt.
If you wish to simply change the style, color, or design of a product, we recommend initiating a standard return for your original item (subject to the 7-day eligibility rules above) and placing a completely new, separate order through the Gabaya website. All exchange requests are subject to product availability and final verification.
7. Important Terms & Conditions Summary
- Returns requested after 7 days of delivery will strictly not be accepted.
- Products must be returned in their flawless, original condition to qualify for any refund.
- Gabaya reserves the right to reject returns that do not meet the stated conditions upon physical inspection.
- Original shipping charges (if any were applied to your order) are non-refundable unless the return is solely due to a defect or error from our side.
